Why Should You File?
Many custodial parents choose to not file to receive
child support, and tough it out supporting their
children, while the noncustodial parent is allowed to
neglect their children.
When custodial parents are unable to provide the
financial support their children need, and don't take
the necessary steps to require the noncustodial parent
to help financially, the custodial parent is depriving
their children of the support they deserve.
Children Can't Fight for
Themselves to Get the Child Support they Deserve.
Many times, custodial parents don't file to receive
child support and require their children to go without
resources to live a fulfilled life. Far too
often, custodial parents don't collect child support,
and don't have the financial resources for their
children's college educations.
Sometimes custodial parents put the responsibility of
their children's college education on their children
by requiring their their children to win scholarships,
take out student loans, or work to pay their own
educations, when the custodial parent failed to
file to obtain a Child Support Order.
